Kenyan-Canadian actress Lupita Nyong'o has ended her relationship with TV host Selema Masekela. The "Black Panther" star made the announcement via her Instagram handle confirming that she and the American sports commentator are no longer together.

Their breakup occurred less than a year after they made their relationship official. Nyong'o, who is 40 years old, cited "deception" as the reason for their split.

Her lengthy Instagram post read, inter alia: “It is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust.

“I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”
