Reports suggest that Ben White's absence from the England squad stems from an incident involving assistant manager Steve Holland.

According to The Telegraph, Holland accused the Arsenal defender of lacking interest in football during an altercation in Qatar.

This led to White making himself unavailable for selection, despite his recent good form.

Despite being a strong candidate for the national team due to his performances, White has not been included in the squad since the 2022 World Cup.

Holland's alleged comment about White's attitude towards football reportedly occurred during a conversation comparing the performances of different clubs, which left White feeling embarrassed in front of his teammates.
