Popular actor Prince David Osei lauded Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as "one of the most prolific vice presidents we've ever had."Osei challenged sceptics to compare Bawumia with past vice presidents, highlighting the lack of impactful initiatives from predecessors like Kow Nkensen Arkaah, Prof John Evans Atta-Mills, and John Dramani Mahama.

Osei emphasised Bawumia's achievements, particularly in digitalization, pointing to the success of the National Identification Authority's Ghana Card in combating crime.“Right now, we’re able to curb crime. All your information is available on the [Ghana] card… so they can track you down,” Prince David explained, stressing: “It’s helping fight crime.”He commended the convenience of managing electric power and the interoperability of mobile money services, making life more comfortable for citizens.Osei also praised Bawumia's contributions to the health sector, specifically mentioning the use of drone technology for delivering medicine.

Asserting that Bawumia's accomplishments as vice president are indicative of his potential as the country's leader, Osei encouraged voters to support him in the upcoming presidential election.The actor, who had previously campaigned for President Akufo-Addo in 2020, expressed confidence in Bawumia's capabilities and urged voters to consider the vice president's vision for the Republic of Ghana.“If you give such a person the opportunity, he’ll do more,” Prince David declared, asking voters to favour Vice President Bawumia, on Accra 100.5 FM’s midmorning programme.

While Osei acknowledged economic challenges in 2022, he remained optimistic about Bawumia's leadership.As the nation prepares to elect its next president on December 7, the ruling NPP aims to break the traditional eight-year cycle, with former President John Dramani Mahama leading the opposition National Democratic Congress's charge.
