Barcelona is monitoring the progress of young Argentine midfielder Franco Mastantuono according to Sport, .

At just 16 years old, Mastantuono has already made eight appearances for River Plate this season. He made headlines by becoming the youngest player ever to feature in a Superclásico when he came off the bench in the recent draw against Boca Juniors.

Known for his versatility, Mastantuono can play out wide or in a more attacking central midfield role. His rapid rise has attracted interest from some of Europe's top clubs.
