A report by Relevo asserts that Barcelona is monitoring Pedro Soma, a 17-year-old United States U17 international.
Soma, who was born in Florida and has Brazilian heritage, grew up in Spain and currently plies his trade for Cornella, a lower-league club located near Barcelona.
His performances for both club and country, with plans to participate in the U17 World Cup representing the U.S. next month, have attracted Barcelona's attention.
The Catalan giants are consistently in search of emerging talent in Catalonia.
Described as a midfielder with a playing style akin to Real Madrid's Toni Kroos, Relevo notes that several MLS clubs are also keeping an eye on his development.
