Marathon singer Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum paid a visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace during the first Awukudae celebration of the year on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The visit was to thank the Asantehene for his support and warm reception during her second attempt at a Guinness World Record in December, held at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Otumfuo praised Asantewaa for her courage and determination, commending her efforts to showcase Ghana on the global stage through her music.
Asantewaa visited the Manhyia Palace with a team that included Kwame Adinkra, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, Gladys Owiredu, Isaac Amponsah, and Asare Daniel.
Her second attempt at a Guinness World Record was held from December 21 to December 26 at Heroes' Park, near the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti Region.
The event drew significant attention locally and internationally, showcasing Asantewaa's determination and endurance in her musical performance.
