Nahuel Molina's outstanding form for Atletico Madrid means that the La Liga club is already working on a new contract for the Argentina defender, according to Marca.
Molina, 25, is now viewed as "one of the top five right-backs in the world," the newspaper reports, having been dismissed as a "whim" meant to placate coach Diego Simeone when he signed in July 2022.
According to Marca, a little over a year later, Atletico Madrid is now considering negotiations for an enhanced contract for Molina, recognising his role as an unquestioned starter and a World Cup champion.
This potential deal would involve a release clause exceeding his current €90 million, although both sides are still far from finalising an agreement.
