In a statement issued on April 15, the Asantehene announced that the mediation talks will be held at his palace in Kumasi from April 28 to May 1, aimed at finding a lasting solution to the Bawku conflict.

Meanwhile, Security Analyst Colonel Festus Aboagye (Retired) has called for greater support for the Asantehene’s peace initiative by promoting the use of multi-track diplomacy.

In an opinion piece published on Monday, Colonel Aboagye stressed the need to involve a wider range of society in the mediation efforts.

He recommended engaging diaspora leaders, youth influencers, and women’s peacebuilding groups to create a more inclusive and lasting peace.

“Support Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s mediation through multi-track diplomacy, incorporating diaspora leaders, youth influencers, and women’s peacebuilding networks,” he proposed.
