The Electoral Commission (EC) has issued a firm warning to political party supporters, urging them to avoid congregating at the National Collation Centre in Accra.
This comes in response to a gathering of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters at the Commission's offices.
In a briefing on December 9, Deputy EC Commissioner Samuel Tetteh called for calm, stressing the need for all parties to respect the electoral process.
He also confirmed that the presidential and parliamentary election results would be announced at 4:30 PM.
“There’s no need for supporters of the political parties to besiege the National Collation Centre. This is illegal and unwarranted.
“The National Collation Centre should be visited by only people with accreditation, all others can watch live the declaration of results on TV by 4:30 pm.”
