In an interview with Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s Frontline, Akpaloo was asked if he would sign the anti-LGBTQI+ bill into law if elected president. He dismissed the bill as having no substantial benefit for the country and argued that the controversy around it only serves to highlight LGBTQI+ activities rather than address any real issues.

This is not something that is of any concern to Ghanaians. That is not a productive thing that Ghanaians are worried about.
