Angry youth in Ejura have reportedly set fire to the local police station and police vehicles following the death of a youth, a taxi driver, in police custody. According to sources, the incident occurred after the police allegedly failed to inform the deceased’s family about his arrest and instead transported his body to the morgue.The youth beseeched the station and wreaked havoc and freed some detained individuals.

The unrest has led to a heavy deployment of military and police reinforcements in the area to restore order.As of now, the police have not made an official statement regarding the incident.
