Nottingham Forest has announced the departure of Black Stars captain Andre Ayew following the conclusion of his contract.

Ayew joined the club in January on a six-month deal after leaving Al Sadd.

The 33-year-old made 13 appearances under Steve Cooper as Forest sought experience to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

However, Ayew was unable to find the back of the net during his 306 minutes on the pitch and also missed a penalty.

The forward is now a free agent and has set sight on a new club before the start of next season.
