A newborn baby girl was reportedly dumped in a public restroom in Akwamu-Senchi Apaaso, an outlying area of Asuogyaman district in Ghana's Eastern region, according to information obtained by the Nyankonton Mu Nsem news desk.
The infant was pushed into a pit full of tissues, pads, and other items through a water closet pot that was broken at the base.
When neighbours heard a baby crying for assistance, they forced their way through a portion of the lavatory structure to save him.
Later, the police were notified, and a probe was started.Locals have called the situation unfortunate and asked the police to look into it and apprehend the offender.
Several of them wondered why someone would dump the baby in the toilet when several others were in search of a child.
