Ghanaian media personality and radio presenter Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has criticized President Akufo-Addo for what he describes as poor leadership since taking office.

During his Angel TV morning show on May 27, 2024, Mensah expressed his views, stating that Ghana is deteriorating under Akufo-Addo's leadership.

He attributed the country's struggles to the President's ineffective governance, echoing sentiments from within the New Patriotic Party.

On his part, Ghana's biggest woe as a country is the president Akufo-Addo.

"Party isn't for Akufo-Addo and he is the one going to spoil your chances of leading the country. He is the only problem of the country, and the only problem of the party till today"

He further went on to slam NPP stalwart and lawyer Gabby Otchere-Darko who he accused of being overly controlling. His actions have silenced and rendered powerless some leading members of the party including the general secretary and the part's chairman.

"Since the 32 years of the NPP formation, for 16years Akufo-Addo has been leading the party and controlling the party

It's time for him to let go and hand over things to Bawumia to take care of but yet still but he has them by their neck, from Chairman, to general Secretary .

Thanks to Gaby Otchere-Darko, general secretary to National Chairman they have all been turned into women. Our forefathers toiled with their blood to hold this party. Akufo-Addo is messing up the party" he fumed.
