The Ahafo regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been confirmed dead in a motor accident Saturday.

The deceased, Francis Sarfo Poku, known in private life as “Chairman Jerry” was returning from a party duty.

The astute businessman died on his way from Achrensua around Water Works when his Range Rover vehicle with registration number GT 3150-17 somersaulted.

Other five occupants of the vehicle including his wife and the driver are said to be in critical condition and have been rushed to the Sunyani Government Hospital.
