Cristiano Ronaldo touched the hearts of football fans with a heartwarming gesture during Portugal's Euro 2024 Qualifiers match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this match, Ronaldo was on the verge of making history, as it was his 199th appearance for the Portuguese national team.
Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez aimed to maintain his flawless record as the new head coach of the Selecao.
Despite his move from Europe to the Middle East, where he signed with Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr in January, Ronaldo's status as a global superstar remains undiminished. His impact both on and off the field continues to captivate football enthusiasts worldwide.

His star factor came to light for the umpteenth time at Benfica's Estadio da Luz when a die-hard fan evaded the stewards and security protocol to share a priceless moment with his idol - Ronaldo.
The pitch invader, who was wielding a Portugal flag, hugged the 38-year-old before bowing on his knees to pay homage, then lifted Ronaldo and performed his trademark 'Siuuu' celebration amid cheers and applause.

How fans reacted?
@_ultraUtd wrote:
"The love CR 7 has with his fans is incredible."
Another user, @Odogwu_Nomso, tweeted:
"Picking him up, doing the Sui & running off from security is GOAT levels."
@ballonstagger hailed Ronaldo:
"My goat."
Pitch invader gets harsh punishment
In a related article, Sports Brief reported that Argentina’s international friendly game against Australia experienced an unusual twist after an overly excited fan jumped onto the pitch to hug Lionel Messi.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner was the biggest star on showcase as the reigning World Cup champions took a tour of China for their international friendlies.
The Chaoyang District Public Security Bureau has identified the fan as Di and has placed him in administrative detention according to the law in China.
As part of his punishment for invading the pitch, the 18-year-old Chinese national will also not be allowed to enter a stadium for the next 12 months.
