Mfantsipim School has advanced to the next round of the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), showcasing a successful revenge against Kumasi Academy.
In the 2020 NSMQ, Kumasi Academy eliminated Mfantsipim School during the one-eighth stage. However, in the 2023 competition, the tables turned in favor of Mfantsipim, popularly known as Botwe.
Botwe proved to be a formidable opponent, amassing 53 points while Kumasi Academy trailed behind with 35 points.
Although Kumasi Academy put up a tough fight in 2023, the final round of the contest, featuring riddles, was particularly intense. At certain points, the two schools were tied, but Botwe's brilliance shone through as they correctly answered two riddles, securing the lead with 55 points. Kumasi Academy finished with 45 points.
Mamfe Methodist Girls’ SHS, the third school in the competition, ended with a total of just 13 points.
Some netizens are thrilled by Botwe's victory.
