Vote counting is happening now after the polls ended in Liberia's presidential and parliamentary elections on Tuesday. In the country of West Africa, people took part in a vote to choose their president, the members of the House of Representatives, and also half of the Senate. The current president, George Weah, used to play football and is now running for a second term as president. He is the favorite to win against 19 other people running for the presidency. But it is predicted that he will have to participate in a second round of voting next month. The electoral commission will start releasing the first results today.
