Ghanaian veteran actress and editor at Graphic Showbiz, Jayne Buckman-Owoo, has been confirmed dead following a brief illness.

Madam Jayne's demise occurred on Friday morning, August 18, 2023.

Although the exact cause of her passing has not been disclosed, it is known that Jayne, aged 49, had been grappling with a short-term ailment.

Throughout her remarkable career spanning over two decades, she made significant contributions to the creative landscape.

She was associated with Graphic Showbiz, where she served as a staff writer. Her coverage extended to significant events both within Ghana and on the international stage.

Jayne's impact on the creative industry was substantial, and her dedication was acknowledged at the Golden Age Creative Arts Awards (GACAA) held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra in 2021.

It was during this event that she received long-overdue recognition for her Excellence in Leadership within the Creative Arts sector. A well-deserved citation was presented to honor her remarkable contributions.
