American rapper Rick Ross, also known as William Leonard Roberts II, has shared his favorite African artists that fans should keep an eye on.Currently in South Africa, Rick Ross posted a video on Instagram on January 15, 2025, where he praised several musicians and DJs from Africa, calling them global icons.

In the video, he mentioned Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy, Nigerian singer Davido, South African rapper Nasty C, and other talented African artists."Before I go any further, while I am in Cape Town, South Africa, I want to salute some of my personal favourites. And these are global icons. They are Davido, Nasty C, Stonebwoy, Chop Sticks, Blaqbonez, and Psycho YP," he said.

He also encouraged American musicians to collaborate with African artistes to foster unity."These are my list of icons, let's continue to build that bridge from the U.S.A. to Africa. Because they are legends," he added.Rick Ross also hinted at his upcoming album.He noted that he will be featuring some African artistes on the album.
