Renowned lawyer Maurice Ampaw has advised Ghanaian musician Medikal to seek psychiatric counselling amidst the ongoing marital discord with his wife, actress Fella Makafui.

Ampaw's counsel follows Medikal's public discussions regarding his marital issues, a trend the lawyer deems detrimental and unsuitable.

During an interview on Wontumi TV on May 22, 2024, Ampaw expressed his apprehension regarding Medikal's approach to handling his personal life on social media platforms.

"We have a matrimonial secret. Whatever happens between spouses, in the event of a divorce, should remain private," Ampaw asserted.

He highlighted Medikal's departure from this standard, stating, "So why is Medikal airing his grievances on social media? Medikal, what's going on?"

Ampaw further expressed disappointment, noting his prior admiration for Medikal but now observing behavior that suggests the rapper is struggling with the situation.

"I used to commend you, but it appears you're overwhelmed by heartbreak," Ampaw remarked.

"I believe Medikal requires serious psychiatric counselling because heartbreak manifests in various ways, and his situation is prompting him to speak out," he concluded.
