Social media has had a huge impact on Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s journey, both in positive and negative ways. The Guinness World Record holder shared her thoughts on the platform after hosting an all-white party in Kumasi, celebrating her second successful attempt at breaking the record for the longest singing marathon.

Speaking to her fans at the after-party at Heros Park Annex, Afua reflected on how social media played a role in her reaching her goal, saying that it’s a powerful tool, but one that also has its downsides. She encouraged her followers to remember that if they want to live a meaningful life, they must look beyond the online world."Social media has come to help us: positively and negatively.
