Media personality Berla Mundi has voiced her frustration over the persistent issue of noise pollution in Ghana, calling out the early-morning disturbances caused by street vendors.
In a social media post on February 13, 2025, she lamented how trucks selling "nkura duro" (rat poison) blast loud music and make announcements as early as 6 a.m., disrupting those who are either still asleep or preparing for work.
"Ghana is a sick country, honestly! Explain to me why there's a truck selling 'nkura duro' with loud music and announcements as early as 6 am on the streets," she fumed.
She further criticized the lack of consideration for others, urging vendors to be mindful of noise pollution.
"When people are sleeping or getting ready for work, that's noise pollution," she added.
Her post has since sparked widespread reactions, with many social media users sharing their own frustrations about similar disturbances in their neighborhoods.
