Ghanaian songstress, Mzbel is steadfast in her decision to keep the identity of her baby's father private, despite public curiosity.
She recognizes the potential harm that social media can inflict on personal relationships and chooses to shield her child's father from online scrutiny and judgment.
In an interview with Emmanuel on OBI TV, Mzbel candidly explains her stance, highlighting the negative effects of social media and its pervasive presence in people's lives.
She firmly believes that such platforms should not be the primary means of sharing precious aspects of one's life.
With the recent arrival of her daughter, Mzbel emphasizes the significance of the child's father in her life. She expresses her desire to protect their relationship and maintain privacy, considering the potential consequences that can arise from public exposure.
Mzbel goes on to discuss the damaging effects of social media on individuals, citing broken marriages, fractured friendships, and other negative outcomes. She emphasizes the need for responsible and cautious use of these platforms to safeguard personal relationships and well-being.
Through her decision to keep the identity of her baby's father undisclosed, Mzbel showcases her commitment to protecting her loved ones from the potential harm of social media.
Her perspective serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining privacy and considering the potential consequences of sharing personal information online.
She explained by saying, “I can’t reveal his identity. Because of what I have seen on social media, I will never post anything that’s very dear to me on such a platform. Someone got married and announced it on social media and a few days later, it was revealed that her husband is a carpenter, make-up artiste, macho man, and other things, and eventually, the couple divorced.”
“If you have something you cherish, you are happy about it, and wish to keep it forever, then please social media should be the last place to make people know about it but for my daughter’s father, I wouldn’t post him for an ordinary person to disrespect and associate him with false information”, she added.
Resolute in her decision, Mzbel affirms that she will not succumb to the pressure of revealing her baby's father to the public, determined to protect him from unwarranted disrespect and false associations.
