His Director of Communications issued a statement calling these rumors “completely untrue and based on malicious gossip.”

The statement also rejected the reports that the senator made any remarks about musician Tuface Idibia and polygamy, stating that these claims are false.

“Our attention has been drawn to recent false reports suggesting that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation,” the statement read.

The statement also mentioned that, being a well-known figure married to a famous actress, it's common for bloggers to spread false stories to get attention.

However, it highlighted that Senator Nwoko is dedicated to his national responsibilities and political work and does not have time for any distractions.
