Speaking on Hitz FM on February 14, 2025, he highlighted the clear differences between Ghana’s movie industry and Nigeria’s, noting that the latter operates with greater structure and efficiency.
1
Gardiner praised the Nigerian film industry for its disciplined approach, emphasizing their commitment to timely execution and meticulous attention to detail in filmmaking.
2
"I feel there is more energy in the movie industry. The pace and the way they approach projects are very different. There is more professionalism attached to the film industry in Nigeria. Before I go on set, the executive producer would reach out, and everyone would reach out to find out the kind of food I eat and if I have any allergies. It is very structured.

"I would say the professionalism and seriousness they attach to it is different from Ghana. Because we take a lot of things for granted. We write so much about relationships, and when it comes to work, we don't let our professionalism come into play," he said.
5
Gardiner added that the frequent lack of professionalism in Ghana’s film industry hinders its growth and potential.
6
He believes that with a more disciplined and professional approach from producers and key stakeholders, the industry could flourish and reach greater heights.
7
"We try to use who we know and how long we have known each other. You know our industry is not as big as that of Nigeria. I feel like we sometimes fall short. The professionalism is not 100 percent, but we know the craft; it is just the mindset and attitude that goes around it," he added.
