“Our attention has been drawn to recent false reports suggesting that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation,” the statement read.

The statement also refuted reports linking Nwoko to comments about musician Tuface Idibia and polygamy, labeling them as false.

“As a public figure married to a popular actress, it is not unusual for bloggers to spread falsehoods to attract attention. However, the senator remains focused on his national assignment and political duties, with no time for distractions,” the statement added.

Addressing media outlets, Nwoko’s office urged journalists to verify facts before publication, warning against the legal repercussions of misinformation.
