Chief Executive Officer of the Golden Movie Awards, Mimi Andani, has spoken out against those ridiculing Rev. Charlotte Oduro following news of her divorce.

Addressing the backlash directed at the popular marriage counselor, Mimi emphasized that staying in an unhealthy marriage should not be mistaken for success.

“For those of you who are happy criticising her left and right because she is divorced, your reason is just because you are not bold enough. Tolerating disrespect and abuse doesn’t mean your marriage is successful,” she stated.

Drawing from her own experience, Mimi revealed that she had spent thirteen years with her ex-husband before their marriage ended. She believes this gives her a valid perspective on the matter.

“I have been in a relationship for five years, got married for eight years, lived with the same man for thirteen years, and got divorced on the thirteenth year. I think I have an opinion on this,” she shared.

Despite her disagreement with some of Rev. Charlotte Oduro’s teachings, Mimi extended words of support to her, urging the public to show compassion instead of judgment.

“Charlotte Oduro, I have so many things to tell you based on your teachings. All I want to say from a sister to another is I wish you healing, protection, and I wish the Holy Spirit would comfort you and be with you,” she added.
