Vybz Kartel, the Jamaican dancehall artist, was released from prison last year after serving 13 years. He had been convicted in 2014 for the murder of Clive "Lizard" Williams, but his conviction was overturned in 2024 due to juror misconduct. Kartel's release was a significant moment for his fans and the music community.
