Ghanaian Afro-Pop artiste Camidoh has been releasing back-to-back singles this year, and he is set to thrill his fans with another banger titled “A Thing I Like”, featuring rising musician and label mate PBee on the 10th of this month.
His first single this year, “Ride Solo”, was released in March 2026, and the second “Phony”, on April 3.
In “Ride Solo”, Camidoh’s soulful, introspective side emphasised strength in solitude, with “Phony” highlighting his social commentary side, calling out dishonesty and valuing authenticity.
According to the singer, the new track continues his exploration of love-themed music while blending contemporary Afrobeat influences with a distinctly Ghanaian sound.
Produced by Klasik Beats and mixed and mastered by Mr Groove, the song features a catchy hook and vibrant melodies designed to appeal to a broad audience.
The song "A Thing I Like" uses a short piece (11 seconds) from "Eye Mo De Anaa," an old popular song by Ghanaian music legend Reggie Rockstone, who is known as one of the pioneers of Hiplife.
By combining this classic Hiplife sound with today's Afro-Pop style, the artists have created a song that feels both familiar to older listeners and fresh to younger audiences.
PBee contributes his own distinctive style to the collaboration, complementing Camidoh’s vocals and highlighting the growing creative partnership within the TOPBÖY SOUND and GRIND DONT STOP camp.
The artistes say the record celebrates attraction, admiration and positive energy, while reinforcing Camidoh’s commitment to promoting Ghanaian music on the global stage and honouring the pioneers who helped shape the industry.
