Weeks ago, the artist made headlines when he urged TGMA organizers to consider him for future performances, stating that he could deliver better stagecraft than the "jump and go" acts typically featured.

"Kudos to TGMA for your remarkable work over the years! As you plan ahead, I humbly suggest curating a lineup of talents like myself and others who deliver truly memorable performances, not just 'jump and go' acts," he wrote on Facebook.

During an interview with DJ Slim on Hitz FM, Article Wan explained the reasoning behind his choice of words.
3
"Richie said something here that when you are not getting the attention, you have to come out. You see the 'jump and go', I intentionally made it bold. I know our people like talking, they want to talk. So when I added the 'jump and go', they started reacting. I've gotten your attention," he stated.

He further elaborated that his main concern was the need for high-quality and unforgettable performances at the TGMA.
5
"That particular side was to get your attention to listen to what I am talking about. I was talking about getting quality performances at the TGMA, something memorable for the world to see. Secondly, I said when artistes are performing, the front stage is very dull," he added.

Having performed at TGMA in the early stages of his career, Article Wan admitted he was not satisfied with his own performance at the time. He believes he now has what it takes to deliver an electrifying show and is seeking another opportunity to prove himself.

Meanwhile, nominations for the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards remain open until Sunday, February 16, 2025.
