2 mins readGhanaian artiste manager and entertainment analyst, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, widely known as Bullgod, has advised Guinness World Records contender Afua Asantewaa to consider hiring a spokesperson following the controversy surrounding a GH¢20,000 donation from former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Afua Asantewaa recently claimed in an interview with Nana Romeo that, aside from medication for a sore throat, she received no assistance from the previous government during her first sing-a-thon attempt. She denied receiving any cash donations or items from Dr. Bawumia, contradicting claims that the former Vice President had supported her cause.

Reacting to the development on United Showbiz on Saturday, March 15, Bullgod advised her to be cautious with her public statements, suggesting that she should let a professional handle her communications.
2
"She is a fine lady and should stop talking because what she is saying won't help her. I would suggest she look for someone to do the talking on her behalf," he stated.
3
His comments come after National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, refuted Afua Asantewaa’s claims, stating in a Facebook post that he personally handed over GH¢20,000 to her husband and father on behalf of Dr. Bawumia.
4
Bullgod described Afua Asantewaa’s statement as "ambiguous," questioning how she could be unaware of a donation received by her own management team.
5
"It's surprising that she only became aware that GH¢20,000 was donated to her team when she was about to speak to us," he remarked. "Her husband is the one managing her, so as a manager, he leads the team. All that she is saying is ambiguous."
6
He also reminded her of her experience working with industry professionals like Merqury Quaye, Nana Reagan, and George Quaye, advising her to be mindful of her words.
7
"She has worked with respected personalities in the media space, so she should be careful with her statements," he added.
8
The controversy continues to fuel discussions in the entertainment industry, with many questioning the handling of communication regarding high-profile support for Afua Asantewaa’s record attempt.
