2 mins readProlific GH, the organisers of the Western Gospel Awards, have revealed that the 4th edition of the event (WGA 2024) will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Word of Life Assemblies of God Church in Anaji, Takoradi.The awards celebrate gospel artists hailing from the Western Region, aiming to honour those who spread the gospel and highlight exceptional musical talent.
With 24 categories, the event promises an inclusive and unforgettable experience, showcasing the best in gospel music and amplifying the voices of these artists.
The organisers stated, “Through this event, we aspire to build a massive social-spiritual movement and community for people across the country and beyond, using music to inspire personal conversions, communal cohesion, social justice, and cultural renewal in the Western, Western North regions, and the world, ultimately making a positive difference.”
Gospel Awards aim to recognise, celebrate,
and honour creativity and excellence in gospel music. According to the organisers, the ultimate goal is to encourage high-quality work from these artists through the awards and the event.This year's edition will feature performances by gospel icons Rev. Yawson and Tagoe Sisters. Joining them are artists such as Team Eternity, Kofi Kari-Kari, SK Frimpong, Lady Joy, Ruger Quarm, Lordable Holm, and Shedrack Tronu, among others.
The Blue Carpet event begins at 4 p.m., with the main programme kicking off at 6 p.m.Renowned media personality Nana Quasi-Wusu (PM) will serve as the host for the evening, while Akousa Tilly and youth empowerment advocate Nana Ama Divine will host the Blue Carpet.The 4th Western Gospel Awards will be broadcast on select radio stations in the Western Region, across WGA's social media platforms, and on various TV stations.
