Ghanaian actor, comedian and UTV’s Real News reader, Kwesi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto, aka WhoNoseTomorrow, has recounted how he dropped out of school.
During an appearance on Peace FM on Sunday, November 19, 2023, he revealed that the untimely demise of his father cost him his education as his mother could no longer afford his school fees.
He said his mom called him one day to inform him he had to quit school because of financial constraints.
“To all my lsteners, I come from nowhere; those days people call me St. Peter.I lost my father in ’79.My mother met me on my return from the farm, wailing and drenched in tears, and broke the news of my father’s demise to me.
“Immediately, I broke down in tears, threw my basket away, went home, and confirmed his death”.
Akrobeto received this news with gladness because, according to him, he wasn’t enjoying school due to his consistent subjection to canning by teachers.
“By then, I was still in school, in Form 3, moving to Form 4. I was happy about the news of my dropping out because I wasn’t even enjoying school. Teacers were always canning me.”
