A body has been discovered in a McDonald‘s walk-in freezer in New Iberia, Louisiana.

In a walk-in freezer at an Arby’s fast food outlet, a woman’s body was found.

According to KADN on Friday, the fatality was a worker at the Arby’s on E Admiral Doyle Drive in New Iberia, Louisiana.

Accordingly, an employee found the dead woman inside the cooler, according to New Iberia police Capt. Leland Laseter.

Her death is being considered suspicious, although investigators are not expecting to find foul play involved.

‘Nothing is set in stone yet,’ Laseter said.

‘A situation like this is unusual, so we’re taking extra precautions during the investigation.

‘(We) pretty much have completed our process at the crime scene. After completely processing the crime scene… this does not seem like a homicide, it seems like an accident.’

Investigators interviewed a few workers at the Arby’s.

There have been no suspects named.

An autopsy has been conducted to determine the woman’s identity and cause of death.

‘We’re going to re-examine all the evidence tomorrow,’ Laseter said. ‘So there are a few more steps that we need to take before a determination is made.’

It is not the first crime scene involving a walk-in cooler at a fast food joint.

In 2019, a McDonald’s manager allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl in the walk-in fridge of the fast food establishment in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The manager, Andrew Albertorio, was accused of flirting with the teenage girl when she walked into the McDonald’s and then communicating through Snapchat. He allegedly attacked her in four other instances at the fast food outlet, and in his car and his home.

Another cooler death occurred in December, when a man’s body was found in a freezer box in a home in South Philadelphia. Cops found a bloody knife next to the body and the man’s son was taken into custody.
