Management of St. Bernadette Technical Institute has shutdown the institution following a riot by its students.

Per reports, the students went on rampage after being refused from holding an inter-ethnic football match.

Municipal Chief Executive for Navrongo Municipality Joseph Adongo who confirmed the incident noted that the school sought police intervention.

The Police clashed with the students and this led to some four officers sustaining injuries.

Among the victims is Navrongo Municipal Police Commander ASP Kingsley Kanda. The quartet are reportedly receiving treatment at the Wa Memorial Hospital in Navrongo
