Onua Showtime host and Ghanaian darling, Nana Ama McBrown has shared an intimate and touching revelation about her journey to motherhood. In an interview with Berla Mundi on The Day Show, the actress revealed that her beloved daughter, Baby Maxin, was actually her first-ever pregnancy.

Opening up about her conception and pregnancy experience, McBrown said, “Maxin is my first child, my first pregnancy. It was an experience that no woman should ever have to go through, and I thank God that I was able to see my child.”
McBrown went on to share that she has personally experienced the heartbreaking struggle of miscarriages and infertility, noting, “I know someone who went through IVF seven times. The experience is absolutely heart-wrenching, and it’s something that people who haven’t gone through it simply can’t understand.”

Despite her own struggles, the actress and TV host maintains a positive attitude and a deep appreciation for the gift of motherhood. Although she longs to experience the natural means of giving birth, McBrown shared that her body won’t allow for it and that she must rely on the help of IVF.

For those unfamiliar with the term, in vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a process by which an egg is removed from a woman’s ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory before being implanted in the woman’s womb to grow and develop.
To her fans, Nana Ama McBrown’s story is a poignant reminder of the struggles that many women face on their journeys to motherhood, and her candor and resilience are a source of inspiration.

In a recent interview with Berla Mundi on The Day Show, the beloved media personality formally disclosed that she has adopted a little girl.

McBrown explained that the young girl had lost her mother, and even though her father is still alive, she made the decision to adopt her. “She is officially my daughter; her dad gave her to me,” the excited mother said.

The newly adopted daughter’s name is however yet to be revealed.

Nana Ama McBrown is a well-known Ghanaian actress, TV host, and philanthropist. She was born on August 15, 1977, in Kumasi, Ghana. McBrown has appeared in many Ghanaian and Nigerian movies and has won several awards for her outstanding performances. In addition to acting, she is also a TV host on the popular cooking show “McBrown’s Kitchen” and is actively involved in charitable activities through her Nana Ama McBrown Foundation. McBrown is known for her versatility and natural acting ability, which has earned her a place among the most successful and influential actresses in Ghana.

Actress and showbiz icon, Nana Ama McBrown has been making headlines since March when she announced that she has joined Media General’s Onua TV.

Since then, the celebrated screen goddess who cut her teeth as a TV presenter as host of UTV’s United Showbiz set her fans and TV audiences on edge with what new thing she was bringing to her new home.

And perhaps, the expectations were overly lived when McBrown premiered her Onua Showtime on Sunday, April 30.

Even before the main launch on Sunday, the actress got social media talking with a video advertising the upcoming TV programme last week.

And truthfully, social media couldn’t get enough of McBrown when she pulled many views on Facebook and Twitter few minutes into the airing of the programme.

It was pure show of love from social media commentators and her fans who posted their opinions about the new TV show which many expect to bring huge viewership to Onua TV.

A number of the comments praised McBrown’s charisma and versatility.
