When questioned about the presence of a release clause in Erling Haaland’s contract with Man City, his agent chose not to provide a clear answer.
The talented 22-year-old forward, who has already scored an impressive 52 goals this season, is aiming to contribute further in tonight’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid.
Haaland, hailing from Norway, was acquired by City in a £51 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund last year.

According to The Athletic, his City contract initially possessed a £150m release clause, which was due to kick in during the summer of 2024.
The clause was directly linked to Pep Guardiola’s future, and is claimed to have expired when the Spaniard signed his new contract last November.
And now Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has been asked whether Haaland still has the release clause following Guardiola’s new deal.
But Pimenta cryptically told Mundo Deportivo on the situation: “I have nothing to clarify.
“The mystery of this story is nice because nobody knows where it is, like a treasure chest.
“It’s more beautiful and, as a lawyer, I can’t reveal contracts.”
Haaland has been linked with a move to Real Madrid when his time at City comes to an end.
And Pimenta was also asked where can Haaland go for the next step in his career.
She replied: “Wherever he wants. He is a player that has never been seen. For me, his quality in everything and his ability to evolve are very impressive.
“He is capable of adapting quickly to a new club, to a society, to the coach… it is as if he had always been there. That gives you a lot of peace of mind and allows you to move forward.
“He is very calm in his professional and personal life, he has the quality, today he is in the right place, with the right team and the right coach.
“In Brazil we say that the sky is the limit. I think he is going to break all the records.”
