TV icon Jerry Springer passes away at age 79

79-year-old Jerry Springer, known to be a TV icon, has passed away.

‘Jerry’s capacity to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried, whether that was politics, broadcasting, or just laughing with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,’ a family representative said in a statement confirming the news.

Mr Springer is said to have died peacefully in his home in suburban Chicago today.

He hosted the Jerry Springer Show, which aired on the televisions for 27 years.

Many say their remember Jerry for his intelligence, compassion, and sense of humor will endure.
