Dustin Lance Black, a screenwriter, is Tom Daley‘s husband and will go on trial for allegedly assaulting a TV host in a bar last year.
The 48-year-old Oscar winner appeared in court on Thursday and refuted the charge.
Teddy Edwardes, a 32-year-old BBC Three presenter and events promoter, was allegedly hit with a drink by Black during a fight at a popular Soho bar.
He made a videolink appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today and entered a not guilty plea to hitting Miss Edwardes on August 18, 2022.
The director and writer also gave his address as Los Angeles.
He has since been released on unconditional bail, with a trial date set for August 8, as per The Sun.
Black had reportedly called the police after getting into an altercation with Miss Edwardes at Freedom, where he was on a date with his Olympic diver husband, 28.
