TV personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, has challenged Ghanaian bloggers to stop following mere celebrity gossip and write compelling articles which can help improve Ghanaians standard of living.
Speaking with Kwaku Sintim-Misa on the KSM show, Nana Aba stated that “with bloggers I feel there are so many important things in this country that needs to be talked about yet they spend 150% of their time reporting on what others are posting on their social media pages.
For instance you will see a blogger post a picture and write Jackie Appiah spotted with a friend at Kempinski, that’s laziness”. “I think the bloggers in this country have no idea about how powerful they are, they just don’t know and that is why they are concentrating so much on celebrities. People only follow them because of gossip but they can actually use that platform to change the lives of people in a positive way”. She noted.
Discussing the verbal attacks launched on her by some NPP communicators after she criticised the sitting president for being unaccountable. The ace broadcaster retorted saying, “The NPP released their thug dogs on me for something I said and I don’t know why in 2019, political parties communicators still think that calling a woman ‘ashawo’ will gag her in any way, maybe that will gag other women but, definitely, not me. I mean ‘ashawo’ is an overused insult”.
“Who I sleep with does not affect the price of kenkey”, She noted.
