Professor Ransford Gyampo and Dr. Paul Kwame Butakor, both lecturers at the University of Ghana, have been widely accused of alleged sexual harassment behaviours,by many female students both past and present.
These allegations follow the BBC’s recent “Sex for Grades” documentary, that unearthed the sickening phenomenon of some lecturers sexually harassing students in exchange for grades.
Prof. Gyampo and Dr. Butakor, have since been interdicted and invited by the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee to assist with investigations.
In light of this,Pepperdem Ministries, a well-known feminist movement in Ghana, on their Facebook page, has given victims of this sad occurrence in our tertiary institutions, the platform to voice out their experiences, and the accounts are not pretty.
